Summary
If you’re interested in a career in the animal care industry, or progression into Higher Education studying animal care subjects, this is the ideal course for you. You will explore key principles of animal health, welfare, and care, including real life work experience in environments caring for birds, rodents, reptiles, and farm livestock. The course offers a blend of theory, task-based learning, tutorials and practical workshops at college combined with field visits and work experience in the animal care industry.

Entry Requirements
This course is suited to students who hold four GCSEs at Grades 9-4 including Maths, English and Science; or hold a Level 2 Diploma in Animal Care at Merit Level, plus Functional Skills at Level 2. Other Level 2 qualifications are accepted and must be at merit profile plus Science and Maths GCSE at Grades 9-4.
Progression
On successful completion of the Level 3 Diploma at Merit and with a suitable reference students can progress on to the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management, 1 year. You may also wish to progress on to Higher Education, an apprenticeship or employment

Fees
If you are a UK or home fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course, tuition fees are free. If you are aged 19 and over please contact the Advice Shop
