If you want to study for a degree but don’t have the qualifications, Access courses are an ideal starting point. They are a flexible alternative to A Levels and are widely recognised by universities, allowing progression to Higher Education.
Am I eligible to study an Access to Higher Education course?
To study an Access to Higher Education course you need to meet the following criteria:
- Aged 19+
- Have a Grade C (Grade 4) or above in GCSE English and Maths. We are not able to accept Adult Numeracy, Adult Literacy, Key Skills or Functional Skills in lieu of GCSEs.
Selection is by interview to discuss your suitability for the course and whether the course is right for you.
Financial support, loans and bursaries for Access to Higher Education
We offer flexible payment plans to help you spread the cost of fees. You can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan and bursaries are available to support childcare and travel costs.

Access to Higher Education courses are widely recognised by UK universities and colleges, including Easton College.
If you are planning to go on to study a degree at a specific university, you should contact them. You should check that the Access to Higher Education Diploma you have chosen is in a relevant subject area and is recognised by the university or college.
