Summary
This practical course enables you to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to work as a Professional Dog Groomer. You'll learn key elements of the industry, such as health and safety, dog styling, customer service, and record keeping. The course offers a blend of theory, direct study, and practical workshops at college to underpin the skills and knowledge required to meet the assessment criteria.
Entry Requirements
You will need to hold the City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants to start this qualification. A suitable level of literacy, numeracy and IT skills is required in order to enable you to complete the written exam and practical assignment.
All candidates will be given a Digital Skills assessment and will be offered a short course to improve this area of their knowledge if this is deemed suitable.
Please note that, should you require further study in English, Maths or Digital Skills, these sessions will be offered at both Paston College in North Walsham and in City College Norwich.

Achievement of this qualification demonstrates to an employer/the public that you have the necessary technical skills and knowledge they are looking for when recruiting/seeking the services of a Professional Dog Groomer.
