Summary

This practical course will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to support a career in the animal care industry. You'll explore animal health and welfare, handling and restraint, diet and feeding regimes, accommodation, and more. You will also complete hands-on work experience within the industry, typically in placements such as kennels, catteries, farms, zoos, and rescue centres.

Entry Requirements

Students wishing to undertake this course require 4 GCSE's at Grade 9-4 or a Level 2 qualification with the minimum of Pass profile, plus English and maths at Grade 4

This qualification could help you find work within the animal industry or you may progress onto an apprenticeship.
