Virtual Show

Easton College Virtual Show

Easton College is proud to be able to bring to you an on-line virtual show as part of our students' studies, in partnership with the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association and The Veteran Horse Society.

Rosettes will be awarded to 3rd place with Champion and Reserve rosettes where applicable.

How to enter

All entries are free but we would like to encourage you a donation in lieu of entry fees to RABI via our Facebook page- Easton Agriculture & Countryside.

Videos, where applicable, must be 1-2 minutes long for livestock classes with good quality colour photos for the other classes.

Entries for Equine Classes: To enter, a 2 - 3 minute recording should be sent in showing front, back and both sides of the horse, along with it walking away and trotting past the person filming. For veteran classes please also be aware that you must have proof (passport) of age of animal being presented. All Veteran classes will be undertaken under direct guidance of The Veteran Horse Society and will be judged by a listed judge (Janet Smithers). Please refer to VHS for rules and on-line requirements.

Entries Close 24th June 2020 at 5pm. Judging- 1st and 2nd July 2020 with results online the following week.

Equine Classes

Class 1 - In Hand LR/First Ridden pony

Class 2 - In Hand Pre Veteran (Horses aged 15 - 20)

Class 3 - In Hand Veteran (Horses aged 20 - 25)

Class 4 - In Hand Diamond (Horses aged 25+)

Class 5 - In Hand Pony of native type (including part bred)

Class 6 - In Hand Coloured Horse or pony, trimmed, plaited or traditional

Class 7 - In Hand Hunter, Hack or Riding Horse - (foals at foot - special rosette)

Class 8 - In Hand Riding Club all rounder Horse or Pony of any type

Class 9 - In Hand Any other breed or type

Special Rosettes to best turned out in each class
Championship 1 - In Hand Veteran Championship (1 and 2nd placed from class,2,3 & 4)
Championship 2 - In Hand Championship for all other classes (1st and 2nd from classes; 1,5,6,7,8, & 9)
Championship 3 - Overall Champion of Show. (1st and 2nd place from Champ 1 & 2)

Cattle section

All entries must be halter trained and led by a suitably experienced handler. All entries will be judged with rosettes posted to winners. Caution should be taken when handling young bulls.

Young Handlers

All animals must be of an appropriate size for the handler. Entry will not be accepted if the animal is too large or unruly for the handler. Rosettes awarded to 3rd place. 

Class 28- Aged 5-9 Years
Class 29- Aged 10-14 Years
Class 30- Aged 15-18 Years
Class 31- Aged 19-24 Years
Class 32- Champion and Reserve overall

Sheep section

All entries must be halter trained and exhibited by a suitably experienced handler. All entries must be pedigree or eligible for entry to relevant breed flock registry. All entries will be judged with rosettes posted to winners.

Class 03- Ewe with lambs at foot
Class 04- Shearling Ewe

Pig section

All pigs must be under control using a board and stick. Entries will not be accepted where there is excessive or inappropriate use of either.

Class 01- White sow in pig or empty
Class 02- Coloured sow in pig or empty
Class 03- White gilt born between 1/6/19 and 31/12/19
Class 04- Coloured gilt born between 1/6/19 and 31/12/19
Class 05- White Gilt born after 1/1/20
Class 06- Champion and Reserve
Class 07- Commercial Gilt born after 1/1/20
Class 08- Commercial Boar born after 1/1/20
Class 09- Any Other Breed born 2019/2020
Class 10- Champion and Reserve
Class 11- Champion Overall and Reserve
