Among the award winners were Easton College students Lilly Chusonis and Reuben Crowter.
Equine Management student Lilly was named Aspiring Student of the Year. Lilly was described as having grown into a truly impressive all-round equine professional during her time at Easton College.
The equine team praised her ‘admirable’ development – not just in terms of skill, but also in terms of her maturity, attitude, and her dedication.
A reliable and encouraging figure among her peers, Lilly developed a sharp and intuitive understanding in equine behaviour. She has successfully secured a job with an equine charity - a perfect next step for someone with her heart, drive and talent.
Agriculture Level 3 student Reuben Crowter was presented with an award from the Worshipful Company of Farmers.
Reuben was cited as being a ‘shining example’ of everything we hope to see in the future of agriculture. He brings energy, professionalism, and a deep-rooted passion to everything he does.
His knowledge, especially in livestock production, is exceptional. But what makes him truly stand out is his generosity in sharing it. He is always willing to help his peers, offering support and guidance when others may not have the same level of experience.
Jerry White, Principal of City College Norwich, Easton College and Paston College, said:
At our college we seek to recognise and celebrate success in all its forms, and this is reflected in the diversity of our award winners and their individual learning journeys.
We're incredibly proud of the qualification outcomes all our students achieve, and we're incredibly ambitious that they do as well as they can - but we know that grades alone are not the only measure of success.
It's the journeys they've come on, the second chances they've taken, the progression on to destinations they never felt were possible. It's the ambitions we've raised, the dreams we've fulfilled.
All these things are part of our mission, not simply and only to provide great career or qualification outcomes.”
