Job Description
We have job vacancies in:
1/ Dispatch Department:
Preparing all our plants for dispatch to our customers which involves cleaning and packing plants in a variety of different ways.
2/ Container Department:
Potting, standing down, picking orders from our container grown crops and general plant husbandry.
3/ Field Department:
Digging up plants ready for dispatch and preparing varieties/planting for next year’s crop and general plant husbandry. Tractor skills an advantage.
Howard Nurseries Ltd is a specialist producer of Herbaceous Perennial Plants, growing two million plants annually in over 1800 varieties, as either field grown plants or in a range of container sizes.
We are looking for new team members who can do physical work in various departments. Most of them require working outside in all weathers.
Minimum of 2-3 days together per week for a seasonal contact for March – July or March to November. Serasonal work could lead to full-time position. No weekend work or evenings. Car desirable as bus routes very limited. Maximum working week 39 hours. Working hours Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm Friday 8am to 3.30pm
