What You Will Study
This one-day course is an introduction to dog grooming. You will cover the basics of dog grooming and it will provide a good stepping stone for progressing onto our Level 2 and Level 3 Dog Grooming courses.
You will cover:
- Different types of coats
- Bathing - what products you use, why you use them and what techniques are used
- Drying and brushing techniques
- Nails and clipping
- Hygienic cleaning - the importance of anal gland expression, ear cleaning and teeth cleaning
- Introduction to grooming equipment
Training will be in our professional dog grooming salon. You will need to bring your dog along with you, please let us know the breed of your dog upon booking.
Entry Requirements
You will need to bring your own dog. You must be aged 18 or over.
Course Progression
You can progress to study our Level 2 and Level 3 Dog Grooming courses to develop your skills and qualifications.
