What You Will Study
This one day course is an introduction to dog grooming where you will cover the basics of dog grooming. It is a good stepping stone to our Level 2 and Level 3 Dog Grooming courses.
On this course you will cover:
- Different types of coats
- Bathing - what products you use, why you use them and what techniques are used
- Drying and brushing techniques
- Nails and clipping
- Hygienic cleaning - the importance of anal gland expression, ear cleaning and teeth cleaning
- Introduction to grooming equipment
Training will be in our professional dog grooming salon. Please let us know the breed of your dog upon booking.
Entry Requirements
You must be aged 18 years or over to complete this course. You will also need to bring your own dog.
Course Progression
You can progress to study our Level 2 and then Level 3 Dog Grooming courses to develop your skills and qualifications
