Assistant Grower / Crop Technician
Location: Diss, Norfolk/Suffolk Border
Wests Farm Produce is a progressive fresh produce business growing herbs and baby leaf salads for leading UK retailers and foodservice customers. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Sprayer Operator / Crop Technician to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in modern agriculture and wants to develop their career within a successful and expanding business.
Key Responsibilities
• Applying crop protection products accurately and safely
• Carrying out drilling operations for herbs and salad crops
• Monitoring crop health and reporting issues
• Assisting with irrigation management
• Supporting crop establishment and field operations
• Maintaining spray and field records to a high standard
• Helping drive high standards of crop quality and presentation
About You
• Strong attention to detail is essential
• PA1/PA2 qualifications preferred (training can be provided for the right candidate)
• Experience operating modern farm machinery
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence
• Interest in crop production and modern farming
