Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable gardener to assist with the care and ongoing development of the gardens and grounds at Hales Hall & The Great Barn, a historic private estate in Norwich. The role is hands-on and varied, focusing on the maintenance, presentation, and improvement of established ornamental and landscaped areas. We are looking for someone who takes pride in high standards of horticultural care and has a strong understanding of plants, seasonal maintenance, and general garden management.
Key Responsibilities:
Regular maintenance of gardens and landscaped areas
Planting, pruning, weeding, and seasonal garden care
Lawn and border maintenance to a high standard
Supporting the ongoing development and improvement of planting schemes
Ensuring the grounds are consistently well-presented
Identifying and addressing plant health or maintenance issues
Additional Information
Part-time role: 3 days per week
