Summary
The qualification is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to gain employment within the Arboricultural, Forestry, Woodland management and Environment sector. Skills are developed with a mix of classroom sessions, practical participation, site visits and real-life work scenarios and workshops, all alongside a comprehensive work placement which comprises 315 hours over the two year course. The first year of the course comprises a selection of common core subjects including business, sustainability & bio security, in addition to core and occupational specialism units including chainsaw operations and managing tree populations. The second year of study further develops the occupational specialism of arboriculture, and develops the skills and knowledge required for careers in this sector.

Entry Requirements
A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English, Maths and Science or a Level 2 Diploma at Merit or above plus English and Maths at grade 4 or above or equivalent.
Assessment
Assessment for this T Level is through a wide range of methods including externally set exams, employer set-projects, portfolios and synoptic assignments.
Progression
On successful completion of this course you may wish to progress on to a degree level course or higher apprenticeship in a related subject. Alternatively you may go straight into employment in the industry.

Fees
