Summary

The Level 1 Award is a City & Guilds qualification which focuses on the basic practical principles for the absolute novice to build confidence and underpinning knowledge. You should be interested in the bricklaying industry and/or developing some home DIY Skills, if this is you, then this is the starting point.

We will cover the following units where you will be assessed in 3 mandatory units;
6219-101 - Introduction to Health and Safety - This unit will teach you the importance of Health & Safety in the Construction Industry
6219-005 - Constructing Half-Brick Walling - This unit will teach you how to set out and build brick walls to given specifications and measurements
6219-119 - Constructing Half-Brick Return Corners - This unit will teach you how to set out and build half brick return corners in stretcher bond
Course details: you will need to bring safety boots
Tuesday and Thursday's 6-9pm ( excludes October half-term)

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this course you will have achieved City & Guilds L1 Award in Construction Skills 6219 ( Bricklaying)

One assignment for each unit

Progression

This will give you the opportunity to progress into further qualifications in Bricklaying.
